- Hearing: Dogs can hear sounds, especially high-pitched ones, about four times better than people can. Their deeper ear canals help them determine the direction of a sound. This helps them hunt. However, their ear structure can also lead to ear problems, so they often need their ears cleaned.
- Smell:Dogs have an amazing sense of smell that is about a million times stronger than the human sense of smell. They can detect very faint odors, which is why they are used for many jobs involving scent, such as finding drugs or searching for missing people.
